Radiator Input

Hey folks. I've seen a few threads about radiators from Jegs, NAPA, and others. I'm thinking of trying LMC truck. I know some have used them. If you have one, are you happy with it? Any other suggestions? I appreciate the advice. I probably won't go with a rebuild. The amount of love my radiator would take would cost me about as much as just getting a new one. Thanks.

LMC truck is a reseller. It will come drop shipped in the same box that you get at the local parts house but with a lot more markup and shipping.

Spectra or one of the other brands. The modern aluminum with plastic tanks will work fine.

IT may be a little tougher to find one for a 63

I guess I should give a little more detail. I'm still running the 223 and column shift 3 speed. My radiator is at least 20 years old, has a leaking core and now the lower tank/manifold has been mangled by an impact. I'm thinking maybe Spectra. I can fab some mounts if need be. I'm more curious if anyone has had good luck finding a good fitting radiator or has any they know are just horrible. Thanks again!

Found the three core Champion aluminum radiator for $205. Tax and shipping brought it to $233.10 I'll let you know how it turns out.

Champion radiator bolted right in and looks great. It's gettin' warmer here in San Diego so I'll let you know how well it works. Just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me the origin of the old radiator? Stock or not? It was C2TA-E, P-MO, 63 10. Thanks.

Have you tried going to a local radiator shop for a recore / refab?

I got an aluminum one from "The Radiator Lady" here in CA, and it's great...it's a "Champion", and has the built-in trans cooler...they ship...

Yeah, no bueno. The core was toast, the lower tank was smashed, and the inlet was pretty corroded. Estimates were more than the aluminum one I picked up.
