Radiators

Has anyone bought a radiator from the Radiator Barn. Are they good stuff or junk? They sell them for less than it cost to have mine rebuilt, and the radiator shops I have talked to say rebuilding the Aerostar radiators is somewhat of a gamble.

Sorry, I have never heard of the Radiator Barn. But New vs. Rebuild, always go with new. All auto parts stores sell new radiators. New ones run between $100-$200 and come with lifetime warranties.

On carparts.com they run $135.36 (3.0L) and $193.38 (4.0L).

The Radiator Barn is advertized on this forum, came up on the bottom of the page when I did a forum search for Radiator. They advertise a radiator for my Areostar for like 103.00, free shipping, lifetime warrantee. I was looking for someone who bought one of their products, because, even new stuff can be junk!

Shop around the local radiator shops and see if you can buy a new radiator from them. I bought a brand new 3-row MODINE radiator from them for $140 for my 4.0L. The one for the 3.0L is only $100.

$140 for a 3 row Modine is outstanding. I bought a ready rad 2 row radiator from Autozone for about $180. It is for a 4.0 explorer but works for the 3.0. Made a huge differance on my hot little 3.0 out here in the Vegas desert.
