Man, talk about opening a can of worms!! I`m not even going to say what I would do, for fear of being exiled from the Ford community!!

Aggressive Drivers

The one thing that some people seem to forget is that IF & When they ever become a statistic >

They Affect the rest of us Safe driving people's Insurance rates.
& I don't like that.

Why should I pay more for insurance, Because THEY want to speed and POSSIBLY cause a collision?

After reading most of the posts I too concur that pulling over or switching to a slow lane is the considerate thing to do. Unfortunately not all of us are considerate. There might be a reason that doesn't concern you why this person is driving in this manner. I for one in the truck do tend to run up on peoples back bumper. I don't do it intentionaly, but the smoother I can operate that truck the better my fuel mileage is. It also saves on brakes. It's also harder for tractor trailers to maintain a steady pace if traffic is heavy. If I'm out in open I try to be aware of upcoming slower vehicles and move over when it is clear to get around them. Seldom do I pull out in front of someone bearing down on me like so many others do to me resulting in me braking and going thru that get going mode once again.

Aggressive Drivers

Just so everyone knows, and does not get the right idea (which theye already have) I do not go 90 Mph through downtown, or a school district, or in heavy traffic.
I only go flying like that when there is EXTREMELY little as in one person every couple of miles or so, or nobody at all,and yes most of my driving consists of only me,
I slow down when I get near people because some of them are idiots and/or females (no offense, j/j Please don't kill me Carlene),and I have no idea what they will do just because.
In normal traffic on a 4 lane,I am normally doing about 10 over, in the left lane, on a 2 lane, again about 10 over, unless there is a car infront of me. I do not tailgate them unless it is someone on a 4 lane impeding the flow of traffic (i.e. me),by pacing the person next to them,as long as they are passing even if they are only doing 70 in a 70 and the one on the right is doing 60,I will not tailgate only if pacing.
On a two lane I will not tailgate, and I leave myself at least 1.5 miles before attempting a pass(which is pretty easy with a 5spd.)
If you do not see me use my blinkers, then check my pulse, there is seriously something wrong.
Or, if someone in my vehicle doesn't have their seatbelt on.
Those are my 3 largest pet peeves, no seat belts, at least in my truck/car, no blinkers. and pacing side by side.

Oh yeah, and also when attempting to pass a white grand am that is doing 50 in a 55, they get mad, speed up while i am next to them.
It is a 2 lane and somewhat damp, they pace my every gas pedal and brakes.
There is a car coming the other way,I miss the car by literally 2-3 feet,,,FEET!!!
I had to due 95 on a two lane to get back into the lane (there are no shoulders on that road, they follow me home and try to start a fight.
My roomate walks out with one of the guns and shoots one round in the air to chase him.
I believe that if people would just move on with the small things, things would be a lot better.
Just my opinion.

And the flaming begins anew...

If you're referring to my post, that comment had nothing to do with you. I agree with you completely.

JimmyDean: You shouldn't be doing 90 ANYWHERE. I, for one, hope you get caught. There is no excuse for going that fast. Hey, I'm all for doing a few miles an hour over the limit as I do that myself, but 90? You're just asking to die or kill someone else.

" The left lane is strictly for passing. " - Wrong. Check the law.
The whole "Hammer lane" concept is just a common practice, not a law. Just because you are out in the left lane, doesn't make it legal to speed. Now, is it annoying, sure.. Does it make any sense to pace the car next to them, no. But, who's gonna get the ticket, you are, for following too closely
This is completely inaccurate. I lived in New Jersey for 29 years and, once, I received a warning from a state trooper for driving in the passing lane. I was passing someone until he got behind me and I slowed down a bit but when he was behind me, I wasn't. So, That statement is totally incorrect.
