Well I have a '63 uni I started on 10 years ago- I basically stripped it - then sadly, let the project sit for 10 years :-( Well 2 months ago I started in with a vengeance-- Swapped in a 352 from a donor truck-- new everything-- fuel pump- oil pump- power steering (yota gear box)- power disk brakes- carb/intake -new custom cab dash- new hoses belts-- new2me C6- with a lokar floor shifter- new radiator- new tranny/brake/fuel lines-- painted the frame with por15-- all new bulbs everywhere and new headlights- and new rims and tires. I took the gas tank and put it in the bed then cut up a donor truck to make a "box" to put the gas tank in-- with a fuel door on the top of the "coffin" as my dad calls it.
It started and moved under it's own power yesterday- I have to get the new seats installed and then it will be ready for a test drive.
Will have a paint job by May and I can do a few local car shows I am so happy-- and I wish to thank everyone on this board for the tips and advice I have used to build her!
