OT-Think you cant afford injectors??
I gathered all my repair bills and put them into a binder. I have owned my truck a little over a year now, and when I added up the numbers, it made me grab (another) beer.
2011-2012
Oil changes-$869
Repairs-$6970
Tires-$2322
DP tuner:$1000
Gauges:$1000
Bumper/wiring:$1500
Total:$13661
HPOP, trans oil and external filter, complete front end rebuild,
riffraff intercooler boots, 6637 air intake, full 4" stainless
exhaust, custom f650 dash with engraved carling switches. 2-10" mtx
thinline subs w/ 1500 amp. Mtx door speakers. IDM, ICP valve,
fuel bowl rebuild, EBPV sensor and tube, brakes, coolant and water
pump, coolant flush and coolant filter and uvch. Custom DP Tuner,
Performax gauges, custom bumper with beefed up wiring. Swapped 0 ga
battery cables to 4/ot. 500 amp continuous duty solenoid. O ga
cable to winch. Redtop Optima batteries
5 months/ oil change. 3 oil samples running Shaeffers 7000
synthetic; yielding 10,000 mile oil changes
36,000/year
So 15 mpg avg. that's 2400 gal. Avg@3.70/gal that's 8,880$ of fuel
since I have owned it
I am sure others can vouch, but my mechanic replaced his injectors(about the same mileage as me) with stockers and is seeing 2-4 mpg better. In reference to last years mileage...
Current
36,000/15 mpg = 2,400 = $8,880
2 mpg gain
36,000/17 mpg = 2,117 = $7,835 Savings: $965
4 mpg gain
36,000/19 mpg = 1,894 = $7,010 Savings: $1790
I guess it makes more sense to me to throw injectors in now, as the savings will pay off! Maybe the government will give me a rebate for going green?!

New stock sticks may help MPG, but they can't hurt it.
You are in a similar situation as I am... lots of outgo in these openinig years of ownership. I look under the hood and think "My gawd... everything is new." and that implies the new items I selected should be good for another 1/4-million miles. A shiny new truck costs more than what you've put into yours... and guess how far they'll go until they're too expensive to repair: 1/4-million miles. The owner of the 2012 model will be buying another truck and you'll be fixing yours for another ride on the merry-go-round. Wanna trade costs or capabilities for anything on the market today? That beer should be a celebratory one for making such a wise investment.
The last link in my signature may help with MPG, but my first question is... are you 100% positive the odometer is accurate?
