another question

i was told in my earlier post that the np 205 shift pattern is 2h,4h,n,4l however mine is 4h,2h,n 4l .did someone get the shift pattern confused ?

No, you were told correctly. However, some Dana 24s came with the 4h,2h,n 4l pattern and I'll bet a wooden nickle this is what you have. They are nearly identicle to the 205s, just more rare. They are gear driven and came in the pre 1973 Fords.

The np 205 t-case shift pattern from front to rear is: 4lo n 2hi 4hi

Holy crap I must have had a bout of dyslexia. Rmike set you straight. What I was trying to get across is that the Dana 24s can sometimes be found with the 4lo, 2lo, N, 2hi, 4hi pattern. This isn't your case anyways. Apparently I need more beer
