starter

So changing the starter looks like its going to be a bear lol
i read a couple threads , any other tips other than a long extension on ratchet. 2002 f 150

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Put the right front corner on a jack stand and pull the right front wheel. Otherwise, getting to the top bolt is a bear.

A set of 6-point impact sockets is suggested to keep from rounding off the bolt heads.

If you can take another 10 minutes or so, pull the inner plastic fender off too. Man...a new world opens up. As stated...only use 6-point. Give a little tap on the end of the extension before you try to loosen them. Once they break loose if they really, really back out stiff, spray some PB on em' and run them back in a few threads. Man.....you don't want to snap one off....you''ll be fine....take her slow.

ive done one before on other car , but wasnt this bad to get at haha
