FE Header gaskets

FE Header gaskets
Well Folks, with only 100 miles on my new FE 390 with Hooker headers the gaskets blew out... i thought it was because the header bolts had came loose a little bit but after getting the old MR. GASKET gasket out i noticed what the problem was, MR. GASKET FE header gaskets do NOT match up with Hooker Headers! and hear is the pic's to show what i'm talking about.
The comparison is between $20.00 dollar MR. GASKET brand Gaskets and $14.00 dollar Hooker Header Gaskets, The Hooker Header Gaskets have a metal center part sandwiched between a layer of grey gasket material.
the MR. GASKET brand gaskets are just pressed gasket material Which is not even cut to match the headers and i would guess they are Ill fitting with other header brands... but not certain of that. you can see where the header flange misses the gaskets all together!
SO, You have been WARNED! if you have HOOKER Headers on your FE,
DO NOT USE MR. GASKET GASKETS!
