HELP! Engine very rough after start up.

Here we go again. This truck is going to drive me crazy. All was good till today when I started the truck, drove about 6 blocks and a rough engine, no power started. All my fluids and filters are good and up to date. I recently did my under valve cover harnesses....both new. Changed out my cps before posting and checked all the wires....and still I can start the truck, runs fine for 30 seconds and starts the rough idling. No engine light comes on and I do have tach working........ Where do I go from here?

You mean you disconnected the icp...

Im leaning toward your replacement cps being bad.

Could always pull your actual ipr, pull it apart...clean,and reassemble.
Try ohming out your ipr coil.

If it feels like it's running on 7 cylinders I would think a loose armature.
If it shakes real bad and has ZERO power then I'm thinking a whole bank of injectors is out.
A buzz test is in order or you may have to pull the VC's.
You could always try the infared thermo on the exhaust ports and see if you have a cool cylinder.

When was the fuel filter last changed? Does it feel like it is starving for fuel?

Try ohming out your IPR coil or removing, cleaning, reassembling like Christof13T suggested, that's good advice.

How would the ipr cause this problem? Starts fine, run fine for a 15 seconds then begins the miss.
