Here is a bump for you... sorry I can't offer any more but once AE is in possession more help will come your way I'm sure...
I would give the guys here a bit of a break too... Yesterday was Superbowl, many could have been out of town, etc. Give people a chance to get off work and settled in this evening, I'm sure some more will be along to assist and help diagnose your issue. Hope it's something easy for ya and can git'er fixed up pronto
What voltage is the alternator giving off? Wonder if the LPOP is providing sufficient oil to the HPOP to supply the injectors.
I didn't see where you checked the injectors for oil spitting out while you had the valve covers off. Did you check that with the engine running and the valve covers off?
Thanks guys, I know I've been a little hard on the membership but this truck is driving me crazy.....
I feel your pain. I had issues soon after i bought my truck but everybody was great on this forum to help me get going. i was kind of hoping someone in the Miami area would chime in. Only 68k on an 03? nice.
I just got the AE from clay today and was getting to know the software. I wrote down the codes and tomorrow I will clear them and start fresh. The ones I'm worry about for now is the buzz test codes.... Some say its related to the IDM. But the truck starts then run like crap. I thought the IDM was either good or bad.
Check the wires going over the drivers side valve cover. The bundle goes to the 42 pin connector. Pretty common for them to rub and cause a short on the vc.

I've checked that bundle numerous times...all looks good. Even checked the passenger side connector. I've done the continuity check, ohmed out the harness, ohmed out IDM harness... All seems well.
