I picked up my new SD the other day and this is the first truck I've owned in a long time that has a manual t-case and hubs so I read through the owners manual to see if there were any changes I needed to be aware of. The question I have is, in the manual it said that with the MSOF system you should be going less than 3mph when you shift between 2wd and 4wd HI to reduce noise and strain on the system, is this needed? On my last truck you could shift between the high ranges at any speed as long as the hubs were all ready locked in.
With the ESOF it says you can shift on the fly with the hubs either locked in or in the auto position, but I don't see why the electric t-case would operate any different than the manual one other than that you have to pull the lever.
