I haven't bought a Ranger yet but I saw this console on a 2002. IMO it is awesome! Special order or maybe it is stock? If so, what years? Any special seats or shifter you need to go with it?
You need a 40 - 40 driver's seat. You could also cut off the "middle seat" of a 60 wide seat. You also need an automatic transmission with a column shifter. A console out of a later model Ranger, for example, a 2008 model may work also.
I wasnt aware they had that console in the Tremor edition. I thought it was available in an XLT trim and above anytime after 2008. Ive never seen it in a Ranger before then.
The 2008 Ranger literature shows a console like the one pictured in the original poster's photo available in the Sport trim and the FX4 Off Road. The one shown in the FX4 is available with the 5 speed M5OD transmission with a floor shifter.
Dang, I just read through that brochure. You're right, the XLT models could get it.
But you still had to get the upgraded sound system.
Seems strange though, at least from what I've seen from Ford certain package options require you to add other things, keeping you from picking individual options.
To elaborate more on my previous post, I wasnt aware that console was available in ANY trim level Ranger before 2008. I thought the Tremor trim/options were discontinued by then, therefore making it news to me that it was availble in the Tremor at all.
"its edge edition with stepside very rare to find"
Not hard.
Exactly. I wonder why he didnt post any pictures of the front end? You could tell what year it was by the grille. I know he states it's an '02, but that console was not available then. Its got to be aftermarket.
