? missing / not ??
2000 Explorer, 4.0 = missing and vacuum " whistle at times under load (incline) and then no whistle and running better with level grade or slight letting-off the go-pedal. ??? Seems like 1 plug fowled and then runs fine, the back again. Fuel milage drop. ??

Got codes ? Let us see your codes . Might be a vac leak . Plugged cat can cause a whistle , extreme fault , but you should have other symptoms with that .Get codes pulled and post them . That will help !
