Is this a trip to the Dealer or can it clear up on it's own? I might let it go through a couple regens to see what happens.

Since I don't know exactly what is wrong and you have a CEL, I would visit the dealer if it were my truck.
No, your truck isn't going to self-destruct but it needs to be corrected.

That code doesn't have anything to do with regeneration.
The reductant tank (and involved sensors) have to do with DEF which is a different part of the SCR system.

It just seemed that it cut the last regen short. Stopped at 1.48 instead of burning down to the normal 1.15-1.30 soot level.

I used to burn down to under 1.20 most of the time for two years prior to the latest flash but now I rarely burn down to 1.30 on idential drives.
Mine usually turns off in the upper 1.40's now.
Remaining heat depending on speed can take me to the 1.30's.

Yep I've noticed that once the red light turns off the EGT1 & EGT2 start to drop but EGT 3 & 4 stay at 1000 or over. I'm assuming there is still some glowing embers burning out the remaing soot. Kind of like a chimney fire I suppose.
