Just got an excursion
I just picked up a 02 v10 4x4 excursion a few weeks ago, stock to my knowledge other than an aftermarket alarm installed before I got it.
Any small/inexpensive/easy modifications or upgrades I should do that are common? Im pretty mechanically inclined but know nothing of engines and all that.

I would look into mikes 5 star tuner they are great for these V10s. That is one place to start. I like the airaid air filters have one in our 02 F250 V10 4x4 and love it. Alot of people like to do the 05 front clip conversion we have that on our 02 F250 everything but the headlights I actually like the 05 grill and bumper more then the 99-04 bumper and grille. Look in the excursion forum to see more mods you can do as they will know alot for the excursions specifically.

Install a rear Hellwig sway bar if you don't have one on there already. If you tow with it, add RAS or airbags. Others have installed Rancho shocks. Many have upgraded springs from F250 to prevent rear sagging.
