AE...p0605...

Hey guys,I was out messing with AE and my truck keeps throwing a p0605 code..what would cause this code?..Thanks..Phil

P0605 is a PCM-ROM failure. It comes up when there is an internal failure of the PCM. If everything is working right, I wouldn't sweat it.

Can you use AE and run all the other tests and functions? Clear the codes and see if it comes back.

Yeah there dont seem to be any issues,I can clear the code and it comes back. It dont show up when I first connect AE and pull the codes,it only shows up when I run the KOEO test..then it keeps coming back...

EDIT: I would just hate to be on vacation with the family/camper in tow and have a pcm failure...

This is a common code for chipped trucks. Search this forum for P0605, and you'll find all kinds of questions, but very few - maybe zero - actual bad PCMs.
