I am new to the site and have a question. I just replaced the # 2 and 4 injectors in my 06 f250 and down loaded a street program. I took the truck down the road to check and see if all was good with my work. The truck ran great for about 30 min untill I pushed the pedal to the floor , the truck had a bad vibe and all the sudden a plum of white smoke poured from the tail pipe. The truck died and I was able to pull off the road. I tried to restart and the truck would run rough and smoked bad. Any idea what went wrong..
As a guess the problem was related to the injector change out. The real experts here could give you the most probable cause. My guess is that an injector tip crush gasket started leaking when you loaded the engine down.
If you have a way of checking cylinder contribution, this might isolate the problem injector. Alternately, you could run a bubble test and see if the problem is on the side with #2 and 4 injectors. If the bubble test fails, you know where to start.
