Disable Domelight dely on a 2000
#16
As an example of computized items, this truck has the remote keyless entry, the original owner admits he never ever has put a key in the door locks. They are froze solid. Been soaking then with Blaster and Lock-Eze, to no avail. If the battery goes dead there is no way to get into the truck short of breaking a window or calling the glass company to take out the back window. .
Sounds like the ingition was changed and the door locks were not, just because the key goes in doesnt mean it is the correct key. I only mention this because in my 92 I had to change the ingition, but I didnt change the door locks
the relay is the timer

Will the ignition key lock and unlock the tailgate?

I asked P.O.,(original owner) he stated locks never changed, never used door lock cyls, hasn't used tailgate lock in 4 years since he took bed cover off.
Locks having been changed was my thought since they are stuck solid. Thought about getting a key cut from code to see if it matches existing key or would will in ign. hate to tear the doors apart if it's just a key mismatch.

Dome light stays on making driving at night dangerous
I have a 2003 F250 with the V10. I have owned it since new. A new problem started 2 days ago. The dome light and truck bed light should go off when you are driving down the road. Mine does not. The illumination inside the cab is so bright that I cannot drive safely at night. Must be the GEM. This may be another case where Duck tape comes to the rescue, covering both the dome light lens and the truck bed lens. This is my third V10, I love them, but NEVER take a V10 that is operating well back to a Ford Dealer on a "RECALL". Ford ruined my 1997 V10 by messing with some board mods.
