When i search cylinder heads for a 429/460 for 1970 on rock auto it comes up with a set of marshall cylinder heads for 390 bucks per head incuding the 50 dollor core. would these really be a recreation of 1970 429 heads? or just a smog 1978-79 head.

yep. Small chamber, non hardened valve seats. etc. They are the heads. That's why the core charge. If you had a set of those heads you would send them back and they would rebuild them and sell them to someone else.

and those are all assembled? so why are people asking a fortune for their old ones on ebay? theyre has to be something else to it
