351w my first engine build

This is my first time rebuilding an engine and just want to make sure I have the right idea. I'm only 23 years old so I'm sure there is a lot I don't know. I have a 79 351w that is going into a 77 f150, the motor was originally in a 1 ton camper and was set up with EGR and had that pollution pump crap but plan on eliminating all of that. I also plan to bore the block .30 over and use a piston that will bump my compression up to about 9.5:1, use a comp xtreme 4x4 cam and lifter kit along with an edelbrock performer rpm intake, I'm also using a different set of heads with the D0OE-C casting numbers for the larger valves and smaller combustion chambers. Also.. this engine came out of an automatic and is going into a 4 speed, does the rotating assembly need to be balanced for the switch? or is it not necessary to do so? Let me know what you all think.. anything els that should be done?

No need to rebalance the motor but don't forget to install a bearing in the back of the crank to carry the trans input shaft, if you have an engine rebuild book like this Rebuild Small-Block Ford Engines HP89: Amazon.ca: Tom Monroe: Books that and a whole bunch more is detailed.
Are those D0OE 302 or 351 castings?

they are 351 heads.. I did know about the bushing that needs to in the crank.. my only real concern were the coolant ports on the heads.. they are L shaped and the ports on the old heads are more square.. do I use a gasket for the L shape or use the square shape gasket?

Use the oil style gasket.
