1977 F150 351M MANUAL TRANS, since it colder than the artic here, my truck keeps jumping up to high idle. I can kick it down and it will idle normal, but if i drive it the idle will jump back up. Any ideas. I had no problems prior to 10 degrees and lower.

How cold is it out right now. I am above the Arctic Circle at the moment and it's about -35 with the wind blowing around 30 mph, I forget the wind chill at the moment.
Most likely just a choke adjustment. Make sure all the choke components are in good shape too.
I'm somewhere between the original poster and the arctic circle lol. (northern MN, right on the canadian border)
We've had -20 and -30 all week here, finally got a break this morning and climbed a degree or 2 above the zero! Feels like the tropics
Check to see if your heater hose is clipped into it's holder by your choke spring body. That heater hose will help keep the spring warm. It sounds like you are chilling your thermostatic choke spring at speed which would cause your choke plate to partially close and your cold idle cam to bring your idle up.

I don't care who you are or where you are from, once it gets colder than -10 to -15, it's just frick'n cold. Due to where I work, I have seen some nasty weather and pretty cold temps. Now, where I live, it's not quite as cold.
Its a thermo choke, kinda wish it was electric. My heater hoses dont go anywhere near carb at the moment, but they may in the future . yes here and only here in ohio it can go from 0 to 60 in temperature in 24 hrs
