I don't believe that you can 'punch out' the filter on the DPF like the cats on gasers, regardless, the delete kit for the dpf only is betweeen 100 and 150, and it's just a straight pipe that go it it's place, and it's very easy to do, I'm actually looking into it my self because I just bought mine a month ago, and the dpf drives me nuts, not only does it go into regen at the most incovinient times, but while it's active, you can only build up to 20 psi boost... which is no bueno... but they are very easy to swap back and forth, just bolted on one end, and slip fit into the other then.. maybe an 40 min tops to do it you self... remember.. you can't delete the DPF with out having a tuner that will support the deleted DPF...
And remember all the extra Swooshing Air noise from the exhaust after DPF removal .... The stock muffler isn't really a muffler.
I replaced it with a MBRP muffler & it cut the air noise n half
I'm trying to tell from your sig, but I guess I'll just ask. Are you saying you installed the MBRP muffler in the stock tailpipe, or installed an after market exhaust (4 inch I guess) and then added the MBRP in that exhaus. I'd like to get more of a rumble and less of a swoooosh sound.
I did the H & S Minn Maxx on my 08 F250, Cat and DPF delete - made a 400+ trip from Southern Illinois, to Northern Illinois on Nov. 10th2012,with the cruise set at 66 mph - hand calculated mileage was 20.6 all highway, only two stops to empty bladder – No fuel stops. With the right gears 20 plus mpg is possible
How are you guys getting your truck instected? I want to remove my DPF but I am afraid I won't be able to get my truck inspected. The county I live in has an emissions check.
Aside from the "good ole boy" shop how do you guys do it?

I think many in that situation just return the truck to stock for the inspection. Not a big job once you;ve done it a couple times.
That's what I was thinking, from what I can tell it would be best to remove the cat and the DPF. It looks like two bolts one clamp and 2 or 3 sensors to reinstall.
