I really wish I could remember what it came in, but I got a metal gasket for between the intake and exhaust of a stock unit. My mind is scrambling as to what it came in, but it had a ridge and seam that pressed on both sides. I used it on my heat plate with a gasket on the intake and another on the plate, and it sealed it flawlessly.
If anyone knows what this metal gasket comes in, speak up, because I can't remember! (And I want another one).
The manifold gasket set comes with the middle gasket, but it's usually made of the same "card board / fiber" stuff the manifold-to-head gasket is made of. Not the steel one. Unless it's a particular set?
It doesn't look like it. That looks like the normal gasket that they always come with but (that kind of fiber/paper. Not sure what it is exactly.)
This one was metal and had a ridge going around it to press and seal. I had it sitting on my desk for about a year knowing I didn't want to lose it, but as time went by, I completely spaced where it came from.
