how much for cam installation
I have a 83 F250. One of these days I'd like to get a aftermarket cam put in. I've never done it, and don't really want to try it for the first time on my truck i drive everyday. Does anybody know about how much a mechanic would charge just for installation of a cam. I really don't think pulling the engine out is necessary. But if anybody has had this done and could tell me on average how much this costs, it would help me out. Thanks

I really dont know, everybody charges different rates, but heres my wild guess: ~$25 per hour, and he'd probably spend about 5 hours on it, so $125 maybe? I'm pretty sure it'll be over $100.
