4R44e Trans issues

I've got an 98 Ranger 2WD with a 4R44e. The problem I have is when it shifts from third to OD, it acts like something is slipping. I have had the transmission out at 150K when the reverse band broke. Replaced the forward clutches and all the bands in it. also replaced the valve body gasket, since it was blown out. had a Ford dealer update the valve body. I have changed the trans fluid with the recommended intervals. The truck has 217k on it now. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to FTE.
Have a trusted tranny shop scan the Tranny Computer for trouble codes & post All code Numbers found, as they can offer up good trouble shooting clues.

OK, good feedback on their not being any CEL lit for the engine computer. Still could be "pending" codes stored, that haven't happened often, or long enough for the engine computer to get aggrivated enough & turn the CEL on yet.
The tranny computer requires a special scantool to extract its trouble codes, so a code reader can't read them & is why I suggested having a trusted tranny shop do it.
During any of the tranny shifting fits, has the OD light blinked????

the cheap and short term solution is to run the truck in Drive, not overdrive.

Shift to overdrive when at highway speeds, use Drive to accelerate up to highway speeds.

no od lights come on it seems to me that maybe a sensor is acting up sometimes it shifts extremely hard and the rpms come up then the trans shifts. Ive have replaced the abs sensor and thinking it might be either a trans shift solenoid, actuator, or range sensor.
