i'm helping a friend with a 98 ford winstar and the trans is an AXOD trans and it lost all forward and the reverse without any kind of warning it just stopped moving ,dropped the pan and the fluid was a little burnt and a slight bit of metal on the magnet any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

 

Maybe the tranny pump went belly up, how did the line pressure look????

How did the tranny filter look, was it loaded up????

Was the trany fluid level up to spec????
