Help! Electrical issues

Last night my daughter kept her heated seat pad plugged into the accessory power point. Needless to say I wasn't happy about having a dead battery at 6:50am and -7 degrees F!!

I hooked up my wife's Flex to my truck w/ jumper cables, and waited 15 min or so. Barely a tick. Then I remembered that my el-cheapo, Chicago Electric, battery charger has a 55A "engine start/boost" feature. I hooked that up and the truck fired right up!! Disconnected everything, did some running around town before hitting the high-way and heading to work. Truck functions normally, however, I've got some electrical items that are not working. I checked the fuse box, and all the fuses that I checked (all that are related according to the owners manual) are fine.

Items out:
Dome lights
Instrument Panel
Radio
Auto headlamp function (when I flip the switch for headlamps, everything works, as well as the interior lighting (ie, radio lights up, instruments light up, etc. Still no dome lights or map lights.)
Most of the idiot lights are illuminated, but I have no indication from any of the gages (fuel might be working, my wife had run me mostly dry and I didn't look at it after I filled up.)

Any idea's what I need to check? Not fun poking around in the dark and cold, but that's what I'll be doing between coming in here and hoping someone has a quick reply!!

Thanks!
Kevin

Did you try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then reconnecting it to reset things? 5 minute reply, is that quick enough ?

Pretty quick. Nope, didn't disconnect the battery, but I'll do that now!

Damn, I just got lucky!!

I had checked most of the fuses that were related, but don't think I had checked 35 - Inst Cluster. Pulled it and its fine. Put it back in and the dome light clicks on.

Huh?

Pull it, dome light is out. Put it back in, its on.

Start truck. Gages and everything are working!

Don't know wtf that was about, but it appears to have fixed itself!

Glad your back in business Pulling the fuse could have reset things like disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will do, who knows.
