Idiot Lights

Hello all. I have a 2000 Explorer Sport. Sometimes when I start it the "Theft" light stays on. If I kill the engine and restart the light goes out. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to the fix of this minor problem. Thanks in advance. SDH

Try relearning your key. Sometimes the transponder in the key stops working as well as it used to. Relearning the key can help overcome the problem. To relearn the key you need 2 other keys that already work.
