I have a 2003 f350 6.0 power stroke diesel and there is a antifreeze leak in the back of the engine, it drips on the starter and i can not find where it is coming from anybody have any ideas. The two heater hoses are not leaking going into the firewall. Please help
Thanks
Could be the EGR hose that connects to the oil cooler. Since you have an 03, your hose might be orange and those often failed. They upgraded that hose. It is now a blue one.
Could also be the rear side of the degas (overflow) bottle cracked at the seam of the plastic.... very hard to see there.... ya have to remove the bottle and flex it to find it.
Thank you I will look and see if this is leaking, i had the injector pump replaced about 2 years ago is this hard to replace, do you need to remove the turbo?
The top part of the oil cooler is a cap. Then the tube the hose is hooked to is another part that pops out. It's snug. I just pulled that out and then pulled the old hose off the EGR cooler tube (which you can't see). Once out, you can put the new hose on the tube to see how it clicks in place with a twist. Then you know how to set it when you shove the end of the hose under the pedestal. Need to lube the end of the hose that does not have the little white marks, you can see in my photo above, lube it with coolant.
