I searched for this topic and was surprised that I didn't see any threads.....maybe I goofed.
My truck has rusted and is in bad shape. I intend to get another few years out of her by doing some basic body work and having her sprayed from the hood down with bed liner to keep the rust at bay.
Since she is now headed toward being a rough looking beast, I am going to sell the aluminum trim to help pay for the work.
Any suggestions on getting it off intact and how to sell it?
you can use a old school bottle opener on the trim around the doors. Just tape the end and go slow. Not sure what other trim you got to take off. The bottle opener works for a lot of it. If you have the center trim it comes off pretty easily. a few screws and some 5/16's nuts on the back side.
Pull up LMC's catalog for the side trim illustration. It shows what fasteners are used and where.. IIRC, there are like three different pieces of hardware (sliders, speed nuts, and spring clips?).
