My brake lights wont come on after replacing both bulbs and brake pedal switch.
I assume the switch at the pedal is getting power because there were sparks when i installed it. I checked the fuses and they looked okay. Any information as far as what wires to check for a short would be appreciated. Also, any other info regarding circuitry would be helpful. Thanks.

Just because a fuse looks ok don't mean it is, check both side to be sure, and if you had sparks at the switch, you may have fried it.
Check the fuses. Then get your voltmeter and check for voltage at the brake pedal switch. I am pretty sure it should be hot at all times on one side, and the other goes to the turn signal switch - multifunction switch on the steering column - and will then go to the brake light elements. The multi switch breaks the circuit for the bulb it wants to flash when turn signalling is selected, leaving the power to the other bulb alone.
Check that the turn signals still work. If they don't, check the multi function switch in the steering column.

The turn signals work and there is power passing through the brake pedal switch also. The fuses are fine. The wires from the bulbs look fine. I am at a loss....
Take your tester and check inside the sockets for the brake lights to see if voltage is reaching there, corrosion can destroy the contacts at the base of the sockets over the years.
If no power at the socket, get a test light that allows you to pierce the insulation of the wire directly behind the socket, see if power exist there, if not, the harness may have a break in it.
The sockets are ok as the turn signals work. That means the brake lights should work, and the wires from the MFS are intact.
Either the wire from the brake switch to the MFS, or the brake switch, or an internal MFS malfunction are the problem.
Power to switch .. on some terminal ... power out of switch {I ASSUME when the pedal is depressed} ... follow the wire from the switch to the MFS ... should see the same color at the brake switch and the MFS... check for power there ...
if you have power at the MFS from the brake light switch, and the signals work, the MFS is not passing brake light power through.
