Knocking 5.4 3 valve...
Just picked up the 04 f150 3 months ago.. 174000 miles on her as of now. I am getting to typical injector tick, but not noisy at all. Last week I began getting a really noticible knock... From what I could tell the knock is right in the oil pan.. Truck has been running flawless. Been very happy.. What is you're thoughts on it being rod bearings... Anyone else have this..?

Got the truck to a local dealer.. They were saying cam phasers before they even came outside to listen to it.. I started the truck and it has the tick/knock.. Yup phasers.. Then I bumper up the rpms... Dude!! You have a bottom end issue... Gee.. Thanks... The dealer wanted no part of it at all... When I said something about a new engine I still got nothing other than good luck man..
