1956 antenna
Although I don't have a radio in my '56 , I decided to install an antenna that I had to plug up the hole where an antenna has been in the past. The antenna I had was a common , telescoping, three section antenna. After installing it I found that the hood hit it when I tried to open the hood.Did the original antenna push down flush? I had already made a dent in my spotlight when I forgot to "fold" it back before raising the hood.

Did you get it from Mid-Fifties? If so they say theirs is an exact reproduction of the original. They have a reprint from the shop manual under the 'Instructions' tab.
