5th wheel mounted bed
Hi all.
My C800 is an amusing ride but when it's not pulling the camper, it's like riding a brick on a skate board. I was wondering if anyone ever created a bed that can be mounted on the 5th wheel and have a mechanism to also be held to the frame that can also be easily removable and stowable like a camper that one would put on a pick up truck?

I've never seen a pickup bed or dump bed on a C800 truck but I would think you could probably find one that's designed for a heavy duty pickup that would be dimensionally similar enough that you could bolt it on and make it work. The modern pickup beds bolt on with only about 6 bolts so"easily removable" would have to determined by you. You could probably weld on some custom brackets and make attachment points for a bed. Just cut a hole in the middle for your 5-wheel and then fab a cover it for it. Would be a fun project!
You should start with some basic dimensions and see how close production beds are to your truck "space". Maybe an aftermarket bed like one of these would work as well...
