Crud. I'm not familiar with the E99, other than I know there are a lot of differences. You need air in and you need air out, lots of it. You can increase your air flow here [LINK] or get the mods for a T4 turbo to expand your options. 4" exhaust with downpipe and a much bigger intake system. AIS is borderline, but the AFE Big Boost has been recommended by many.
AC 160/100 is the limit of the stock fuel pump, but you can get up to about 400 HP with those sticks and supporting mods. I get between 375 and 400 (best guess). These power levels are fun, a little pricy but not insane, and about max for what I would personally do to a DD.
Chip to run the sticks. Members of the forum use the proprietary DP Tuner, or the universally-supported TS format. Always choose a chip that you can load the tunes yourself. Custom trucks need custom tuning, which means the tuner doesn't always get it perfect the first time. I hate pulling my chip, so the F6 or the Hydra are the best way to avoid chip-yanking and downtime.
Gauges, and I mean it. You are jacking up the explosions taking place in each cylinder, the HP, the torque, the heat, etc.... EGT gauge (maybe two... one for each manifold), Boost (on the turbo side), Fuel Pressure (on the injector side of the filter), and I recommend an OBDII gauge to keep an eye on transmission temperatures, as well as a gajillion other things that you want alarm levels set for. Some of the OBDII gauges can perform crucial service tests.
Before you start firing wildly with your Buck$Zooka, you want the truck 100%. Hutch mod is crucial before a power-up. Gauges would be first to know if your truck has issues, and you want a performance baseline.
Were can I get parts to do my own injectors. I did the intank mod. The big air filter i forgot the number. 4in downpipe to 5in no cat or muffler. Fpr spring. Boost gauge. No egt yet. Ts 6 position retuned by TW. We have a flow machine at work. We deal with cat injectors. We dont deal with IH parts.
Jim is the last one I know of that sold parts for a DIY kit, but he is no longer doing it. If you build CAT injectors, perhaps it would be willing to make an exception. You'd have to either find him on here and send him a pm, or shoot him an email. Rosewood Diesel Shop
