I have a 1960 F100 I bought last year and have started to strip it down. Everything is off the frame. The guy I bought from put a 390 in and said it ran good. The block #C7MEA, Intake CgAE9425-G Big "S", Head C6AE-R, Exhaust C6AE9430A and 9431B. I believe the intake is 67 Fairlane 390, exhaust not sure, block 67 Mercury, heads 66 390. I could be totally wrong. I have looked up the numbers, but alot of conflicting info. Thought I would come to the pros. Thanks in advance for any help and information. Oh yeah, it has a C6 attached to it.

Since nobody more experienced has chimed in, I'll tell you what I think. I believe you have a mismatched remanufactured or rebuilt short block. The heads, intake and exhaust numbers all match up to a '66-67 Fairlane, Galaxie or Mustang ( I have that engine). A short block would explain the odd block number. Not a big deal, unless matching numbers are important to you.
