302 Carb Flame up
Just to hopefully cut down on some time, I was wondering the following. When trying to start my project '73 F100 with the standard 302 2bbl I get flame ups every now and again through the carb until the motor is actually running, then it seems to run somewhat smooth. My guess is this is just a case of either too far advanced timing or is it too retarded. Can't quite remember which way it goes at the moment. I'm thinking that the timing is off also because when I shift it into gear, it wants to die on me. Not that the tranny is working right now, but that's a nother story. The next time out I'll have somewhat limited light so looking for any shortcut help.
