Yeah I plan to do everything at once, repair wise. The truck has less than 75k on it and has no rust, nothing wrong with it physically. It was my grandfather's truck and he passed away not to long ago. I'll keep this truck until it kills me or I kill it beyond repair.
That's what I'm planning on. He has always loved this thing. I talked him into hooking to a sled one time and he was like a gitty little kid. He loved it. He even asked me how to make his truck smoke! If you knew my grandfather you would be very surprised that he actually pulled. He's always been about working. The last year of his life he just seemed to enjoy it and I got to be apart if those memories.
I would just clean your old turbo i personaly had a powermax tryed getting it tuned properly with gearheads programming turning 37s it smoked alot and seemed lazy to spool cruising egts were higher top end power was insane. Rebuilt my stocker couldnt be happier maybe bigger injectors like 175cc would have helped it spool better.
Since your heads are leaking I'm guessing you want to just get this done, but spend a little while reading up on things if you can. If you upgrade injectors 155 sounds more like the ones you want? Depending on your needs 155s can run on the stock fuel system, more than 155 and you need at least a pump(Airdog or similar).
If it were me, I'd look at one of these turbos. Welcome to Mad Turbo Werks!! There are guys getting close to 500HP on stock sticks and fuel. Save the $$ from the upgraded sticks and get a regulated return system, the Bullet Proof Diesel FICM, tuner, ficm tune, exhaust and save anything else for the tranny.
Before doing the oil cooler make sure you flush with restore and restore+ and refill with ELC, not Ford Gold. Have the STC fitting replaced as long as its the engine is torn into. When the turbo is out have the turbo oil lines replaced with the updated ones.
You can build up a very fun reliable truck as long as you don't go too crazy.
That's all I want. I plan on a different fuel system to as I heard it helped idle. 155 sound like the route I will go. Wish the old man was here for me to be doing all this with him, instead of for him... thanks for all the help here guys. I'll be sure to make a build thread going when I start the upgrades
Im doing a build to my 06 right now started with just injectors and while waiting on those i was dreading not having ARP's so i got those. Was hoping for a quick easy tear down clean and rebuild but not the case. Took the heads off and one was cracked. So we got 2 new heads and hgs from ford. The oil cooler was getting clogged up so new oem cooler and oil pump since we were right there and also because thelittle oil screen was starting to come apart. Water pump was a little loose but i didn't want the plastic impeller to cause problems so we are putting a bullet proof on. Finally were ready to finish building her just had the turbo left and took it apart to clean and had engine oil on the exhaust side. Currently am waiting on a powermax turbo. For injectors i went with 190's from industrial injection got and air dog2 165gph anda new blue spring upgrade. Other mods include banks turbo back cat delete exhaust, banks intake, banks inter cooler kit, bullet proof egr delete, IDP 58v FICM, sct flash tuner with IDP tunes, and a banks iq just for gauges. Now just waiting to find the right deal on a built tranny setup. Any other recommendations that should be done to keep her together or better?

Just a FYI, AD2 has a adjustable regulator, your going to either have to set the AD2 regulator higher than the OEM fuel spring psi, or delete the OEM fuel regulator. When the AD2 psi is set lower or equal to the OEM regulator psi, the two systems will fight each other and cause low fuel psi issues.
