turbo upgrade

My 06 f250 has a turbo with sticky vanes I want to upgrade it. I was thinking powermax, but wanted other opinions. I will have studs, egr delete before summer and in the future will be going with 190cc injectors. I have an SCT tuner that I'm using now with a mild street tune for towing. I tend to push this truck in terms of towing, maxing out the GCWR and then some ( on occasion). What turbo will suite my needs? Will the powermax be a good choice?

If it is just sticking vanes I would just take it apart and clean it and pocket the 1500 bucks for a rainy day

If your planning on towing at GCWR, and running 190 injectors, you better start saving for compounds. 190's and a Powermax is gonna run too high EGT and be smokey.

You need to set realistic goals if you plan on towing max GCWR. Keep your injectors and turbo stock. There are limitations when towing heavy with bigger injectors and turbo, plan on supporting mods like built Trans, and fuel system.

Would the powermax be worth it if I kept the stock injectors for now? I'm looking at keeping stock like drivability for now. Then later down the road I'm going to retire this truck for my pulling toy/weekend cruiser.

Let me say this. I'm looking for a good reliable combination that will keep the EGTs down on looking grades without slowing the truck to a screaming rpm to keep 40 mph. I figured a bigger turbo would need more fuel and didn't think the stock injectors would be big enough to keep up with it. What cc are stock injectors?

Whats wrong with your truck???? Clean your turbo and open up your exhaust (with egr delete) if your worried about EGTs.

The heads are leaking from over boost and I have a clogged oil cooler. I didn't know what size stock was and that's the size injector that was recommended to me by a shop. Hell I don't know any better. Kind of a green horn to these power strokes

O dang didnt know that. Clogged oil cooler.. any smoke out exhaust? Sounds like blown egr cooler also. Studs new HGs Egr Oil cooler. The whole shabang. I honestly wouldnt upgrade turbos, i like 26psi boost. Upgraded HGs you could upgrade turbo I think youd need to upgrade fuel supply not just injectors but like fuel pumps and stuff
