yesterday when i left the house after a couple stop signs when i hit the brake again. the pedal was real hard and didnt do anything (not a good feeling) i had to stand on the pedal with both feet to make it move. when it went down some then the brakes grabbed hard. it done this a few times since then.
has anybody had this problem before???
Good. I am surprised at how many people don't know that.
When you first turn your key on in the morning, can you hear your antilock brakes go through their function test? It is a quick short growl coming from the driver's side engine compartment.
To be honest I haven't paid any attention at start up lately. Since I pur the new injectors in I haven't really had any problems.
Yes the pedal was pushing back. Speedometer is fine however I do have a abs light that's been on since I got the truck. The right front wheel speed sensor is bad. The PO did **** poor maintenance and the wire was against the rotor. I was waiting to do it when I do the brakes and rotors
You may want to fix that sensor soon. It could be the cause of your symptoms.
Others may want to chime in on this, but I think there is a fuse you can pull to disable the ABS. If this is true, you should do that until you get it fixed.
I have been driving the truck for almost a year like that. I'm not saying that's not the problem but it has never done it before and hasn't done it since. Knock on wood
Funny you say that, mine goes right to the floor once in a great while. Still stops the truck but seems to do it when I do a lot of low speed wheel turning. All fluids good. Mobile 1 Syn ATF in PS pump, and flushed brakes last year.
