The only OEM Pinto control arms I have ever seen are low quality stamped steel units that are VERY prone to rusting through. Do you have something you think you could actually box?

Yes i do. They have already had the bushings popped out and cleaned and painted to keep them from rusting again. The rivets in the ball joints sucked, but they did come out. I know i can reenforce the crap out of the lower. The upper has all the room one could need to strengthen from the top(outside). The ball joint area will most likely take a small piece of steel that goes on after the ball joint with tabs to mount it to the arm as well as the ball joint bolts( placement dictated by internal clerances. A crossmember that accepts factory style lowers will need some work there too.
