airbag suspension

Do airbags increase the weight you can carry or just make the truck ride better?

Just ride better....They will lull you into the false sense that it CAN pull/haul more tho....

Ford says it will NOT increase the CGVW.

For sure, very good answer. They make the truck HANDLE the weight better, but do not increase the bottom line. Well, they do, but remember that the bottom line is NOT always limited by the suspension, usually its the axle and brakes that are the limiting factor.

Aibags increase weight? No.

And the Airbags manufacturers also say that it will not increase GVWR or GCWR.

Most the time the limiting factor is your tires, if you look at a F350 and add the weight rating of the tires together for the rear end and it will equal the weight rating of the rear axle (stock tires). If you are carrying a load on or behind your truck they will make a big difference in handling and ride.
