I have an 09 F150 with oversized tires. What are my options for stabilizing the steering and preventing wandering? Can a steering stabilizer be added to the newer 150's?
Since the OP doesn't want to talk much about the specifics, he should know, if he doesn't already:
--some tires "nibble" and follow every line in the road
--wheel offset change can reduce steering stability
--lifts can fubar alignment
So you may have tires that just like to wander, and if you have a different offset and a lift, you may need to develop new alignment specs to work with that combination.
But the steering stabilizer is a good bandaid. However, you have rack and pinion steering, and you may have to adapt a stabilizer to it as all the one's I find are for older models. Bilstein, Rancho, Rough Country: No '09 F150.
I was looking for a stabilizer and was not finding any, similar to what you have looked at. Since it has rack and pinion I was unsure if it is even possible.

Not to mention it is electronically assisted...A steering stabilizer won;t make a diff.
Not eletronically controlled, correct. Just looking for options to keep the wheels going straight instead of pulling the wheel in you hand. Bigger tires = more leverage on the entire system.
