Smoke at Start up video
Yikes it sounded like a bucket of rocks being tossed down the street.
And go figure my neighbor and his extended family just happen to be hanging out on their front porch.
He asked me later if I forgot to plug in or something (He's also a Chevy guy).

Thanks for all the input. As for never seeing smoke/vapor at start-up, on the gassers definitely....never really noticed it on the truck except for that time my FICM was going out. Lot thicker of course then. But as far as the video, it was a smooth idel, stumbled ever so slightly right at the start-up, but that was it.
It is rare that I am starting the truck when it was that cold, so like Benny mentioned, this is a rare occurrence, lol

Alright, I feel better now after all you alls responses! I just had to make sure, anything this truck does that I am not used to seeing it do, I make sure to look into it. Last I saw smoke (well then it was smoke, now its steam I imagine) my FICM was shot and I did not realize it until the truck wouldn't start one day, lol. I rather deal with the blow-back asking a "dumb" question than to be dealing with a catastrophic failure (costing thousands that I do not have) later because I was afraid to ask. "I aint afraid to ask anything", lol.
. And you get to eat "hot dish". That don't exist in south Florida , neither does "pop" . Sometimes I really miss Minnesota. But not in winter after x-mas
Well, you get to go snowmobiling! You get to go ice fishing, you can watch the Vikings play live, I gotta pay 250 a year to watch them. Lol... Btw can you go tell Frazier to dump Joe Webb.

If you really want to see a truck pump out smoke, try it in Duluth in the middle of jan or feb with bad glowplugs in a hotel parking lot,( not plugged in) now that was a hoot.
haha, wow...that sounds like fun
