Hey all-I have whining noise (like the sound an old screen door would make swinging back and forth) coming from the right side of my F250 super duty truck. My truck is a 2003 with 95k on the 7.3 motor. The whining happens, or is heard, when I get above 15 mph. The frequency or pitch of the whining does not change with speed. I can hear it when accelerating, coasting, braking, and not braking. An ideas would be appreciated.

 

i was catching up on the new posts from over the weekend with intentions to start this exact same thread when i was done... i have the same thing going on this past week. it's kind of a howling sound. i'm thinking carrier bearing? anyone have any insight?

so did we decide we're dealing with carrier bearing issues here?
