I hope you figure out the problem. I know there are some sharp guys here, but I highly recommend the Inline 6 forum here. There you'll find the real 300 or 4.9 gurus. Good luck. k
Took off the top of the carb. Notice a speck of dirt inside the float, so blew it out with some carb cleaner.
When I flipped the carb top upside down, it seemed like the float was rising too high (not level like on my outboards and ATV's).
I bent the float arm down ever so slightly and reinstalled.
No more leaks, truck starts right up, and doesn't spew gas out anymore. Thanks for everyones help!

If he was having other than carburetor issues, I among others would have pointed him there right off. Since it was carburetor related, I walked him through it including trying to help find the correct kit. I used to own a carburetor and tune up shop and have lost count of the number of various Ford 6 cyl. carburetors I have messed with, clear back to the original Ford/Holley that looked like 1/2 of the flathead V8 carb.
Hopefully for some of his other questions you guys on the 6 cyl. forum can help him. He really does need some 6 cyl. specific help.
