Ok so I figured out that the 302 went MAF in the early 90s so I do have it. All the intakes are for MFI which doesn't make sense to me since I believe mine is EFI
CAI's are a waste of money on these trucks. The research has been done. Insulate the OEM intake plumbing up to the throttle body and you will be better off.
As for the MAF, EFI, MPI alphabet soup conundrum:
EFI - Electronic Fuel Injection is standard on the F-series 1/2 tons (which includes the full-size Bronco model) as of 1987.
MAF - Mass Air Flow is a fuel metering method employed in the mid 90's (late 94+) in conjunction with EFI. (ALL MAF vehicles are EFI).
MPI - Multi-Port Injection is a distinction between having a fuel injector at each cylinder and one (or a pair) of injectors mounted in the throttle body. The latter is known as TBI (Throttle Body Injection). The F-series were never TBI-equipped from Ford.
MAF (continued) Mass Air Flow fuel metering also incorporates SEFI technology. Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection allows each injector to "fire" or release fuel into its respective cylinder individually just as spark plugs would fire individually. Albeit spark and fuel are not triggered simultaneously.
The earlier EFI fuel metering system is often referred to as SD - Speed Density wherein there is still an injector at each cylinder however they are "fired" in banks typically left-side followed by right-side or in the case of the 300 (4.9L) inline 6, injectors 1-3 then injectors 4-6.
