They can't make up their minds around here. Last night we were issued another winter weather advisory for snow and snow flurries for 24hr. period starting at 1600 today. Now the "alert" is gone for here, but we are supposed to get freezing rain Wed and Thursday and just rain after 10 Thurs.
I don't like that forecast so I'll come back to it in 5 minutes and they will have changed it.
Most of the primary roads here are clear of snow. Still quite a bit of compact snow and ice on the secondary back country roads. Funny, but on the way to the farm I go from mostly compact ice and snow to mostly clear road the instant I hit the Polk County Line. Funny how that works. I'll be Yamhill County has the roads cleaned off to the main Wineries though!
Sounds like a good plan Dave. I've been driving around here with the hubs locked in, but mostly stayed in 2wd.
Advantage to the freezing temps is that I've been able to take the pickup out across the fields to the duck pond and coyote hunting. Heater in the pickup works so much better than the open air heater on the tractor or when I have to hike to the back of place on foot!
We have two big flocks (probably about 600 head all total) grazing either on our fields or the neighbors fields directly adjacent to our fields at the moment. The sheep man is having some problems with the coyotes..................
Morning Oregon crew and visitors, we have some of that white crap falling from the sky. I'm sure happy to be taking a couple of days off.
No snow here, but the sun has gone away. Hanging in there at 14 or 15. The cloud front that moved in looks really strange. Not really like snow clouds though.....................................
Going to be spending 3 days in Newport next week for our anniversary. Save some of the beach snow for then! It always makes the hot tub and fireplace in the room seem like it is worth its price..............................
Sorry Jim I do not want to save any on the North Coast but they can have it on the central, my job is driving and these idiots have to share the road with a very hard time driving in the white crap.
it has been cold enough here that the old ford has been frozen up twice now stuffed some insulation from the old mans shop to put under the hood even the wifes chevy has been frozen and a slow turner first thing in the morning
