What's a PITA is when metric and fractional are mixed on the same vehicle. I hate cross-dressing

We had a belt fed 40 mm cannon mounted on the front of the Huey gunship I flew in Nam. The gooks were sure scared of it!

Rocket launchers and mini-guns were mounted on each side, 40mm cannon on the front. Not something you wanted to chase ya down..............lol

They built the A-10 around the GAU-8, just to carry it into battle.......
That thing opens up Russian tanks like a buzz saw.

Afternoon Oregon FTE gang and friends.

Not much going on again today.

Every time I work on my trucks I have to use both SAE and Mertic... and Torx and there are a few funky 12 point bolts as well. It makes for a fun time putting all of the tools away when the project gets done.

Don, I seen a few of those Huey's going over the fantail of the Dever LPD9 at The Fall of Saigon in 1975

If I'm going to continue doing my own wrenching I need more tools.
Having fun doing tie-rod end on the lumina.

More tools are always good, I did tie rod ends and the rack yesterday and finished this morning.

Wish I had a few of them now, or at least a few of the P&W J-53 engines..........
