I never have understood the "happy veterans day" thing. This day is a sad day for me. Remembering those that gave their lives for this country is quite sobering to me...
Matters not to me Dave. Without you guys in the rear, we couldn't have functioned at all. My thanks go out to all that served, not just those of us out in the field...

It's usually a sad day for me, too, but because I realize the common citizen couldn't give a rat's rear about veterans. I also find great sadness in the situation we find with our country's leadership.
Last Tuesday I spent at the Bush Library in Dallas, and it was sad to think that we went from a man of principal in our highest office, to what we have now, by a vote of the people, American citizens. Woe are we.
So it's a sad day that only a few of us remember any more. Just a day for the courts and schools to be closed. Soon, it won't mean a damn thing...........

It means even less to those folks...........As for the "leadership" in place now, they got what they wanted, I know none of US voted for him!
Morning Marv. I don't even want to talk about where this country is going. Just happy that I'm old, and most likely won't see just how screwed up this country will be in 10-15 years. Sad.....
Time for me to head out guys. I'm spending the day at the Old Soldiers Home in The Dalles today. Most likely won't be back on till tomorrow. The days I spend there are very emotional to me. Seeing these old Vets that everybody has forgotten takes a toll, and I have a hard time with it, but it's something I have to do...

That's why I never said happy when I signed on this morning, this is not a happy day ..........
